Thornbury uses many metaphors to describe what a lesson is like. I do agree with all the metaphors used as a good lesson should have a plot,theme, rhythm, flow and a sense of ending. However, it's difficult to remember every one of them.

To put it simply and to enable myself to remember better, a good lesson should state its objective, have an appropriate introduction, teacher-centred instruction and student-centred learning activities (body/development), key takeaways of the lesson as a consolidation and a reasonable conclusion.
